The script began in one fashion, but the tone shifted following pre-production. The new direction was affirmed when one of the local commercial charter boats sank the previous night.
The Poet Tree
A self portrait of set design, lighting techniques, cinematic use of various shot types and accompanying music composition. This project helped wrap over 2 years of rebuilding after Hurricane Ida ravaged the Louisiana Gulf Coast.
The Exit Strategy
This project begins a series of short films about veterans who have left the service and made their way into civilian life. Interviews include former members of the USCG and other services. Blacksmiths, musicians, charter captains, etc… tell their stories of leaving the service and finding themselves along the way.
